The name brings to mind the\nlate-19th-century West: railways, mines, and the rough work clothes of the people who settled\nit. DURANGO is a trucker jacket that carries that air.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shape is a short trucker reworked from the Type1 (first type). A shield-shaped flap pocket\nat the chest, pleats on both sides of the placket, and a cinch belt with a brass buckle at the\nback.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe leather is a limited colour: wine red oil-wax horsehide.\nHorse hides are scarce worldwide, and clean full-grain hides good enough for a fine oil-wax\nfinish are scarcer still. This is a new colour developed from the SIMONS oil-wax horsehide, and\nmore than half a year of collecting yielded only a small amount. It is used on just two styles,\nthis jacket and a western shirt.
