Western Concho Leather Belt, Thunderbird Buckle, Dark Brown Cowhide

A leather belt based on the concho jewellery of the Native American Southwest. The buckle takes the shape of the Thunderbird, the spirit bird of great power in Native American myth. Every feather is hand engraved, with the crisp lines a mass-cast buckle cannot give.

The buckle is lead-free H65 brass, silver plated; the silver dulls and mellows as it oxidises. The leather is Italian cowhide, cut by hand, with the colour rubbed back by hand for a worn-in look. Aged leather and oxidised silver answer each other, so it looks vintage from day one.

・Keep it out of the rain. If it does get wet, blot the water off with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in the shade.
・Wipe marks with a dry soft cloth and feed the leather with a leather cream as needed.
・The metal hardware oxidises and mellows with use. A polish brings the shine back.
・Hang it up or coil it loosely for storage.
・Keep it out of direct sunlight, heat and damp.

・Creases, vein marks, scars and unevenness of colour are part of a natural hide, not faults.
・Colour may transfer or fade, and the leather will change with wear.
・Every piece looks slightly different.
