Western Engraved Leather Belt, Cavalry Three-Piece Buckle Set, Cowhide

A leather belt based on Southwestern conchos and the hardware of cavalry horse tack. Buckle, keeper and tip come as a set of three, each hand engraved with scrollwork, with the crisp lines a mass-cast piece cannot give.

The hardware is lead-free H65 brass, silver plated; the silver dulls and mellows as it oxidises. The leather is Italian cowhide, cut by hand, with the colour rubbed back by hand for a worn-in look. Narrow at the buckle and wider around the body, it has the stepped shape of a tack strap.

■ Care
・Keep it out of the rain. If it does get wet, blot the water off with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in the shade.
・Wipe marks with a dry soft cloth and feed the leather with a leather cream as needed.
・The metal hardware oxidises and mellows with use. A polish brings the shine back.
・Hang it up or coil it loosely for storage.
・Keep it out of direct sunlight, heat and damp.

■ About natural leather
・Creases, vein marks, scars and unevenness of colour are part of a natural hide, not faults.
・Colour may transfer or fade, and the leather will change with wear.
・Every piece looks slightly different.
