Leather Trucker Jacket Type 3 — Short, Horsehide

A short leather trucker jacket based on the trucker jacket born in the early 1960s (third type). Symmetrical V-shaped stitch lines at the front, two flap pockets at the chest, and adjuster belts at the hem reproduce the details of the denim jacket of years past in leather. The main material is a substantial horsehide whose shrunken grain rolls in strong waves, dyed translucently to a beautifully reddish red brown. The leather is loaded with oil, supple and soft, and creases and lustre deepen into shadow the more it is worn.

• Red Brown: outer leather: horsehide (shrunken); lining: yes. *A horsehide whose signature is a large, rolling shrunken grain. Dyed translucently to a reddish red brown, and finished with an oil-loaded, soft, substantial hand. Creases and lustre build the more it is worn.

• Black: outer leather: horsehide (tea-core); lining: yes. *A tea-core horsehide with a tannin-dyed core showing brown. The surface is dyed black, and the brown base appears at worn areas and in the valleys of the creases, producing a vintage character of its own. It grows richer the more it is worn.

• Store on a hanger that matches the shoulder width so the garment keeps its shape.
• Wipe dirt away gently with a dry, soft cloth, and condition with a leather cream as needed.
• Store away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.
