A U.S.-pattern short flight vest that takes the U.S. military MA-1 flight jacket into vest form. Lustrous nylon satin outside, generously filled with insulating wadding, so it is both light and warm. Wool rib at the collar, hem, and armholes; a two-way front zip; a pen pocket at the left chest; and snap-fastened waist pockets carry proper MA-1 details. Layered over a base layer or a shirt, it holds military roughness and neatness together. The navy has a deep, lustrous colour that goes with anything.

• Take care to keep the leather away from rain and water. If it does get wet, blot the moisture off promptly with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shaded place.
• Store on a hanger that matches the shoulder width so the garment keeps its shape.
• Wipe dirt away gently with a well-wrung cloth, and spot-clean any marks that stand out.
• Store away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.
