A leather jacket built on the padded racing jackets of the 1940s. A standing band collar, shoulder and elbow padding, and a front zip carry the functional details of a racer. The uncoated, substantial horsehide gains lustre and shades of brown the more it is worn.

【About the material: Padova tea-core black horsehide】
Made in Padova tea-core black horsehide, developed in-house by REAL SIMONS in 2023. The deep, layered colour of tea-core black (blackened brown) sits close to black while letting brown show through depending on how the light falls, a distinctive, vintage-feeling character.
Polish raw horsehide selected to AA grade. Creasing is kept within a narrow range, giving an even grain across the surface. In retanning, we add more fat liquor than usual along with a milk-protein treatment, which brings out a supple hand, improved softness, and a fine surface lustre.
A piece for those who want the real thing: it settles in the more you wear it, gaining a lustre and character all its own.

• Tea-Core Black: outer leather: horsehide (uncoated, oil-wax finish); lining: yes. *An uncoated oil-wax finish. An aniline-type leather, so shades of brown come through as character with scuffing. (Photos 1–12; the zips have brown leather pulls.)

• Black: outer leather: horsehide (oil-wax finish); lining: yes. *A deep black dyed right through the hide; the oil-wax lustre builds the more it is worn. (Photos 13–21; the zips have no leather pulls.)

• Take care to keep the leather away from rain and water. If it does get wet, blot the moisture off promptly with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shaded place.
• Store on a hanger that matches the shoulder width so the garment keeps its shape.
• Wipe dirt away gently with a dry, soft cloth, and condition with a leather cream as needed.
• Store away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.

■ About natural leather
• Because this is natural leather, creases, veining, scars, and uneven colour may be visible. These are the character of a natural material, not defects.
• Colour may fade, transfer, or change with age through wear.
• Every piece looks slightly different. Please order with this in mind.
