1920s Vintage Classic Riders Jacket — Heavy Goatskin

An original REAL SIMONS model built on the classic racer jackets of the 1920s.
A standing band collar, shoulder and elbow padding, lightning-bolt buffalo horn buttons, and a front zip pull it together into the rough look of a racer from the motorcycle racing years.
This model took three years of trial and revision to bring a classic design into the present. The details we insisted on make it the high point of the vintage-style jacket.
A substantial yet odourless goatskin gives both suppleness and durability. Its fine grain and natural lustre gain depth the more it is worn.

Character of the leather:
A new-generation, environmentally considerate tanning method: chrome-free tanning. Innovative production technology using rare earths overcame the traditional problems of goatskin completely.
The natural colour is left as it is, with no dyeing or coating at all — a pure material quality. No chemical dyes are used, so the natural whiteness of the goatskin comes through as it is. The pores are clearly visible and the leather takes water readily; it carries few marks, and dirt lifts off easily with an eraser. It has the durability and abrasion resistance of cowhide together with the lightness and comfort of sheepskin.

• White: outer leather: goatskin (eco-tanned, odourless type), natural colour, undyed and uncoated; lining: twill cotton; trims: buffalo horn buttons, SIMONS custom buttons, IDEAL zipper. *A goatskin in its natural colour with dyeing kept out. Odourless and substantial, with a fine grain; colour and lustre build the more it is worn.

• Take care to keep the leather away from rain and water. If it does get wet, blot the moisture off promptly with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shaded place.
• Store on a hanger that matches the shoulder width so the garment keeps its shape.
• Wipe dirt away gently with a dry, soft cloth, and condition with a leather cream as needed.
• Store away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.

• Because this is natural leather, creases, veining, scars, and uneven colour may be visible. These are the character of a natural material, not defects.
