A double-breasted aviator style drawn up by REAL SIMONS, built on the short, boxy vintage leather jackets of the 1930s and 40s.
The small turned collar keeps the front of the jacket clean. Zipped to the top it wears as a double riders and cuts the wind; left open it settles just as easily into everyday clothes. The wide lapels look right either way.
The half-belt at the back and the parachute-back construction running from shoulder to spine are standard to leather jackets of the 30s and 40s. Side straps adjust the waist. There are muff pockets at both sides to warm your hands, and the jacket is fully lined. We changed the lining to a heavy TC cotton-blend twill for durability.
■ Details
・Original pattern based on the short, boxy silhouette of the 1930s–40s
・Double-breasted front zip (aviator style)
・Wide lapels that work open or closed
・Half-belt and parachute back
・Side straps to adjust the waist
・Muff pockets at both sides, for warming the hands
・Fully lined in heavy TC cotton-blend twill
■ Material by colour
・Tea-Core Black: Shell: horsehide (tea-core). Lining: heavy TC cotton-blend twill. Finished black over a brown core. As the surface wears with use, the brown shows through and the jacket grows warmer in character. (Photos 1–15.)
・Seal Brown: Shell: horsehide (water-dyed). Lining: heavy TC cotton-blend twill. Dyed rather than covered with pigment. It takes up moisture and oil readily, so wear and abrasion build depth and lustre. (Photos 16–32.)

■ Care
• Take care to keep the leather away from rain and water. If it does get wet, blot the moisture off promptly with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in a well-ventilated, shaded place.
• Store on a hanger that matches the shoulder width so the garment keeps its shape.
• Wipe dirt away gently with a dry, soft cloth, and condition with a leather cream as needed.
• Store away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.
■ About natural leather
• Because this is natural leather, creases, veining, scars, and uneven colour may be visible. These are the character of a natural material, not defects.
• Colour may fade, transfer, or change with age through wear.
• Every piece looks slightly different. Please order with this in mind.
