【The line of the vintage motorcycle jacket】
An all-weather motorcycle riding jacket born in Britain in 1936. Its signatures are remarkable carrying capacity across four pockets, and an angled pocket at the left chest, placed so a rider could pull out a map while moving. Adopted as the official uniform of national teams at the ISDE International Six Days Enduro of the day, it established a worldwide reputation.
At the 1964 ISDE held in East Germany, a legendary Hollywood actor rode wearing this model, an image that remains part of vintage motorcycle history and is still talked about today.
In the century or so since it appeared, its form has stood unchanged. Many distinguished brands have put out leather replicas of it; the industry has always wanted this one.
【The REAL SIMONS approach】
We released a first-generation cowhide version four years ago; this 2026 version is the 2.0 upgrade we have taken our time over. We studied several leather replica versions along with a British-made oil-wax original, and revised again and again to suit Asian builds.
"Shaped but not restrictive; easy to move in but never sloppy", the curve of the sleeve tube, the height of the underarm, the sleeve cap height, the fit through the forearm, and above all how the cuff draws in were each settled over several rounds of prototypes. On a classic model the pattern is everything: however good the material, without the pattern resolved you never get that precise atmosphere. That is the philosophy this is built on.
【2026 version: what has been upgraded】
• Polish tea-core horsehide
• Deep-wale black corduroy at the cuffs and collar
• Collar tie and waist belt eyelets changed to matte black; belt buckle now made with a soft interlining
• Main and pocket zippers unified in a red-copper alloy colour (matching the tone tea-core takes on after ageing)
• Snaps changed to matte silver SK75 (making the whole jacket cleaner and more refined)
• Lining in 450 g/m² 50% wool herringbone (warm enough for a rider without adding bulk)

Shell: Polish tea-core horsehide. A fine leather that carries both the ageing process particular to tea-core and the tough fibre quality of horsehide.
The line of a classic that carries its history, in the quality of a new generation.

■ About natural leather
This product is made of natural leather, so insect marks, healed scars, fine scratches, localised creasing or slack, and variation in pigment (uneven colour) may be visible. These are the differences from hide to hide that come with a natural material, not a quality problem. That every piece reads differently is exactly the appeal of real leather.
