About “sheepskin” on the care label
In Chinese, goats and sheep are often both simply called “sheep”, so some care labels say sheepskin. The leather is goatskin. We apologise for the confusing label. (FAQ)

Before you order

  • Contact us within 20 days of delivery and you may return the item for any reason (exchanges are available for orders within Japan only). Shipping both ways is at your own cost. No payment processing fee or similar charge is deducted from your refund.
  • Items must be unworn and unused, with all tags and accessories, unwashed, free of odours, and in resalable condition. We cannot accept anything reported more than 20 days after delivery. International orders can be returned but not exchanged, and we deduct the duties and import taxes included in the price from the refund.
  • Before dispatch you can change the size or the delivery address, or cancel for a full refund. If the reason is ours — a defective or incorrect item — we cover everything including the return postage. “Made to Order” items cannot be returned or exchanged.

The leather western shirt is said to go back to the 1600s. Native Americans had long worn deerskin tops, and the Spanish settlers who came later took them up, reworked them and turned them into the cowboy's shirt jacket, with a yoke across the shoulders to make it last. In the 1900s, as cowboy culture spread across America, the western shirt changed again. Snaps replaced buttons, so cuffs no longer caught on fences.

LARAMIE is named after a historic western town in Wyoming, long tied to ranching, the railway and cowboy culture. It is a western shirt with reinforcing yokes over both shoulders, made up as a leather shirt jacket. It comes in two newly developed leathers.

The leather is a limited colour: wine red oil-wax horsehide. Horse hides are scarce worldwide, and clean full-grain hides good enough for a fine oil-wax finish are scarcer still. This is a new colour developed from the SIMONS oil-wax horsehide, and more than half a year of collecting yielded only a small amount. It is used on just two styles, this shirt jacket and the DURANGO trucker jacket (rs-wk-036). Once it sells out, a restock is very unlikely.

・Colour or oil can transfer to pale clothes while the jacket is new. Keep it off pale clothes at first.
・Do not wash, tumble dry, dry clean or iron.
・Keep it out of the rain. If it does get wet, blot the water off with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally in the shade.
・Store it on a hanger that matches the shoulder width.
・Wipe marks with a dry soft cloth and feed the leather with a leather cream as needed.
・Keep it out of direct sunlight, heat and damp.

・Creases, vein marks, scars and unevenness of colour are part of a natural hide, not faults.
・Colour may transfer or fade, and the leather will change with wear.
・Every piece looks slightly different.
